2013 Emmy Winners & Nominations

"Breaking Bad" finally got the big award of best Drama in its final season. Most won't gripe, as the award could have gone any which way with the competition being ferocious. It comes down mostly to personal preference and genre. If you enjoy spy shows "Homeland" should have gotten it, or if you enjoy fantasy "GoT" and even soap operish British romance than "Downtown Abbey".

In comedy again I don't think anybody will put up a fight with "Modern Family" getting the award. With most of the shows in the category being somewhat of a mediocre standard or simply sustainable comedic entertainment.

The biggest complaint for me was that "American Horror Story" was placed in the Miniseries or Movie category. Its unfair to everyone in that category for years now. Mixing miniseries that have multiple episodes and movies don't work. They both play differently and are for different audiences. Also just because "American Horror Story" is an anthology season long show. Doesn't make it a miniseries, nor a movie.
