2014 Golden Globe Winners

There is no better way of saying it, then just saying that this awards show is a sham. When the Comedy category is filled with primarily dramatic films with comedic overtones and then the media in general shout and brag about the big wins of Leo and "American Hustle". Then my reaction is something like "are you freaking kidding me?".

These weren't big wins as they weren't going head to head with traditional comedies or with any kind of a musical. As the category says best Musical or Comedy. When Oscar time comes most of these men and women will be out of the picture and will have to actually contest to win the big prize. And that's without the politics of the Awards show aside. To conclude we can still be kind of happy that "12 Years a Slave" got the big prize and that Blanchett was rewarded once again for her hard work. Doing meaningful work that is neither snobby, pretentious or simply being in the zeitgeist. For advertisement, promotion or other private interest reasons.
