Weekend U.S. Box Office February 9-11, 2018

Finally, the U.S. box office caught a break with 'Fifty Shades' this weekend, but if you go down memory lane, this was the weakest performance out of the trilogy. With the first film starting out at $85,171,450, the second film at $46,607,250 and latest at $38,806,000 opening weekend numbers. A jump of about 47 million from the first to the third film, which says a lot about the quality and hype of these films (link with extra box office numbers).

In other news, Clint Eastwood didn't do that well with his real life story film and to be expected a kids animation film made over 20 million in its first week. While, slowly, but steadily both 'The Post' & 'The Shape of the Water' are trying to get to those magic numbers of 75 and 50 million respectively.
