Weekend U.S. Box Office April 6-8, 2018

A not so quiet weekend for John Krasinski's third film, with everyone from critics to audiences loving it. It's premise is one of the most original ones of the last years for the horror genre so its success is deserved even for that alone.

'Blockers' managed to reach the 20 million mark and with an equivalent international box office to be expected isn't the worst performance for this film. As sexual comedies aren't in fashion as much as they used to and gone are the days of 'American Pie' type films making over 100 million at the box office.

Lastly, while Wes Anderson's 'Isle of Dogs' hasn't been released yet to a wide release, it did still manage to enter in the top ten and accumulate 12 million bucks from only 500 theaters. Not too bad for a film that many would think has the legs to be playing with the big boys and not only for independent/indie crowd.
