Thank Heavens studios have the international market to rely on, as otherwise most of them wouldn’t make ends meet. Case in point, ‘Alita’ that crashed badly in the U.S. market, but internationally made almost around 100 million in its first week.
Same couldn’t be said for other newcomer ‘Isnt It Romantic‘, that did as expected the bare minimum 20 million mark at the box office, but was released only in selected countries in theaters with the rest getting it straight to Netflix. Which is a weird new strategy by the studio that could many viewers in the States question why they had to pay more than 10 or 15 dollars for a ticket for it, when they could have just had it as a part of their subscription bundle in the first place.
