Weekend U.S. Box Office March 16-18, 2018

After 13 weeks, Jumanji has finally dropped from the U.S. Box Office Top Ten and Black Panther managed this week to make more money than Tomb Raider in its fifth week, that is how bad this weekend opening for Tomb Raider is. It made even less money than the first Tomb Raider film with Angelina Jolie did and only slightly more than the second one.

Though, there is some good news for the Tomb Raider reboot and that is its worldwide box office intake and it reaching a total of around 100 million. Showing yet again that the foreign market plays a vital role in the Hollywood movie industry in saving films from financial collapse and from losing out on a potential continuation through sequels.
