Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 - Episode 5 "Girl in the Flower Dress" Review

Finally an episode of SHIELD that is interesting as it deals with superhero abilities and superheros in a superhero world. It also kind of continues a previous story thread of a larger organization and finally gets a bit more personal. This grows my interest into the show not by a whole lot, as there is still a lot more the show has to be done and I sadly know that the next episode might return to its usual mediocre, impersonal and procedural type episodes.

The Walking Dead Season 4 - Episode 2 "Infected" Review

After a decent premiere "WD" continues to be steady in its delivery of good zombie entertainment, character development and even a bit of mystery with a "who done it".. And although the episode had one of minute stupidity were I will explain further in the review. It isn't enough to bash the entirety of it and the stable momentum its trying to create for the season going forward.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 - Episode 4 "Eye-Spy" Review

Every new week a episode comes out Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I wonder if any Marvel or Comic Book fanboys are happy with this show? Did they suddenly become procedural lovers and should they be content with future shows being of this sort? I think not to these questions and I also think that we have already enough procedural shows on TV and this show doesn't do anything particularly different to make it's existence any more significant.

The Walking Dead Season 4 - Episode 1 "30 Days Without an Accident" Review

The Walking Dead is back and naturally with high ratings, anticipation and fan enjoyment attached to it. From all the people I know who watch the show, I have been the series biggest critic. Having read also the comic I do tend to follow to the crowd, that says this show has lost its max potential at times. Still there is always hope and with the new season and premiere it starts off well. Having zombie action, zombie blood and zombie drama we all know and love.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 - Episode 3 "The Asset" Review

With the third episode comes the show's first origin story for a super villain and one that is comic book related. Maybe not one of the most known villains, but it is something of note. Yet, with the introduction of one villain, the inclusion of small moments of character interaction and some comedic banter that is always being thrown around. Are audiences still thrilled that this show exists?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 - Episode 2 "0-8-4" Review

Sadly my problems with this show have come too early. As it's already committing the cardinal sins of all procedural action shows and continues to have many elements that are far too cheesy to have on TV for the year 2013. I know this show is about a team of spies in a superhero world, but this show was meant for adults and its shown at night. Not on a Saturday morning after the Disney Club. I don't think Marvel has understood just yet what kind of show they wanted to make, to which market they were targeting at and to what end the show will end up to.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 - Episode 1 "Pilot" Review

The first Marvel TV Show is already a hit with it's first episode viewership being over 11 million American viewers. The question on most people's minds will be was it good? Is it a good sidekick to the movie franchise, does it hold up on its own and can it go against other rival comic book TV shows? The answers are yes, yes and for now not even close.

Arrow: Season 1 Review

It was about time somebody got closest to perfecting the formula. Finally we've reached the point that comic book shows don't have to be campy, that they don't have to follow TV procedural formulas of past and can accomplish the very notable feat of being faithful enough to its source material and at the same time actually enhance it further. This show isn't like "Smallville" and might not be as visceral as the "Dark Knight" trilogy. Yet it's the closest thing will get for now to superhero heaven on television.

The Walking Dead: Season 3 Review

Its amazing how one show with such a huge fanbase and viewership can still get so much negative criticism. "Walking Dead" still offers a good amount of entertainment, however I think we also watch it based on its potential for greatness. We all saw something in that first season and the potential it had to be this gritty drama of survival in a world ruled by the dead. Unfortunately another season is gone and that possibility hasn't arrived yet. In the mean time were left still with the mediocrity of a fumbling melodrama, with badly written characters, constant on and off quality of effects/makeup work and a plot that requires expensive set pieces & events that the show can't deliver on.

Last Resort: Season 1 Review

Many shows kick the bucket prematurely and for good reason. Other shows are unlucky to live in a day and age where ratings calculation are bogus and the new paradigm of streaming and DVR hasn't been yet taken into account. For some this show was a rare chance for a high concept geopolitical show to be on the air with mystery, conspiracy and a story of a dictator in the making. It may not have turned out the way we all wanted and sadly was scheduled for cancellation. Showing once again that big networks don't know the meaning of risk, diversification and TV production value.
